Whether you’re a recent college graduate searching for a task, an experienced worker desiring a career change, a justice involved individual returning into the labor force, a veteran going back to civilian life, a senior 55 or older wishing to upgrade work skills, a migrant farm worker, a youth ─ your American Job Centers provide services for a large range of scenarios to assist fulfill your work requires. We offer complimentary access to the resource spaces that include computer systems and Internet, telephones, and facsimile machine. Also, task applicants can go to on-site recruiting occasions, workshops on resumé writing, interviewing skills, and task search activities, or pursue more extensive training or accreditations for occupations that are in demand. All 95 Tennessee counties are served by an American Job Center with qualified personnel and open 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Our Job Centers are grouped by locations called LWDAs (Local Workforce Development Areas).

Local Workforce Development Areas (LWDAs)
LWDAs are area clusters of counties whose labor market and other employment-related aspects are comparable. This suggests each location offers labor force development and career services based on regional needs. LWDAs are affiliate, or partners who help run and administer programs and services as directed from the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) at all of the local job centers throughout the state.
