The Automotive Technology AAS degree prepares individuals to use technical understanding and abilities to repair, service, and preserve all kinds of cars and light trucks. Through classroom guideline and hands-on training, you will find out how to diagnose, service and repair brake systems, electrical systems, engine efficiency, engine repair work, suspension and steering, and manual transmissions and drive trains, and heating and air condition systems.
Graduates of this path will be required to take expert licensure tests, which correspond to specific programs of study, and to get in professions as entry-level specialists in the transportation market.
Students who complete the Automotive information technology AAS degree are midway to making a bachelor’ degree in Automotive Technology at SIUC. The trainees will have earned 55 of the 129 term hours of credit needed for the degree.
